Scientific Retreat 2024 at Schloss Raesfeld
Excellent science, career advise, networking and a lot of fun!
This year, we went to the amazing Wasserschloss Raesfeld in the Münsterland for three days for our Scientific Retreat.
It was our pleasure to welcome two successful guest scientists, Maria Florencia Sánchez, Emmy Noether group leader at the University of Münster and Arne Möller, Professor for Structural Biology at the University of Osnabrück. Both of them gave great talks about their career tracks and research, and provided our PhD students with valuable tips for their academic career.
Furthermore, Ulrike Trojahn, senior advisor of the Office for Research Support at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, taught our students how to boost their career in science and to successfully apply for research funding in an intriguing workshop.
We also enjoyed excellent talks by our PhD students, a lively exchange during the poster session, social activities, the idyllic outside area around the castle of Raesfeld and the wonderful city of Münster.
